(From 1708)
Roat Sahib is an other pesculiar symbol of Shadani Darbar.
It is made from Wheat-Flour.
First the flour is kneaded into Oval type pieces which are fried into Shudh ( pure )
ghee( oil ) and then grinded and turned into micro pieces. In last the Sugar is mixed with it and thus
the Roat Sahib is ready to distribute. Before distributing it is kept in a Vessel before " Saint Shadaram
Sahib" and a Benediction is made to make " Roat Sahib " comforting to every man.
Like Dhooni Sahib , Roat Sahib is prepared only in " Shadani Darbar ".
Because these both things are the symbol of
Shankar Mahadev " and " Sant Shadaram Sahib "
being him incarnation , established these
both Parsads in Shadani Darbar.
As Kanah Sahib is the holiest parsad of Guru Nanak Devji , so the Roat Sahib is the
holiest parsad for Shadani Shewaks . It is mostly prepared on Moon Day but some Shadani Shewaks , when thier Good
desires are fulfilled , they come to Shadani darbar and prepare Roat Sahib .
As per Hindu Purans , the Roat Sahib is prepared only at four occasions.
1.Shiv Ratri:-
It is the day of Shiv Shankar Bhagwan.
Every Hindhu prepares Roat sahib on this day in his home.
2.Hanuman Teyanti:-Secondly it is done on the Birth day of Shri Hanuman Mahraj.
3.Nau Ratri:-
Roat Sahib is prepared on the last day of nine fastings of Devi Mata.
4.On Moon Day:-It is prepared in Shadani Darbar on every Moon Day.
